Network Leader LLC is an organization whose mission is to make the complex world of network research and analysis easy for anyone to understand and apply. We offer network assessments and comprehensive training to help individuals and organizations leverage the power of their professional connections to achieve their goals. We also analyse the data from our assessments to conduct original scientific research in the field of network science. Our assessments are consumable and actionable, created by academics and scientists, but designed to immediately benefit everyday working professionals.We understand that you are aware of and care about your own personal privacy interests, and we take that seriously. This Privacy Notice describes the Network Leader LLC ’s policies and practices regarding its collection and use of your personal data, and sets forth your privacy rights. We recognize that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility, and so we will from time to time update this Privacy Notice as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies.

Our legal basis for processing your data is a contract we have in place with the company you work for, vendors we provide service to, as well as our legitimate interest. As described below, your data will be used by Network Leader LLC to (a) create a user account and enable full use of Network Leader LLC applications, (b) complete accurate analyses of your professional network, and (c) for research and normative benchmarking purposes, and will not be shared with any third parties not directly involved in providing these services.
Network Leader LLC collects personal information about its website visitors and customers. With a few exceptions, this information is generally limited to:

• job title
• employer name
• work address
• work email
• work phone number
• company industry
• company size
• educational status
These data are necessary for the creation of a user account and for the full use of Network Leader applications.
Network Leader LLC collects additional personal information from its customers to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the analyses we perform on the data you provide about their professional network. If you are a customer of network leader, we may also ask you to disclose the following information [all of which is completely optional]
• gender identity
• generation / age
• race / ethnicity (only for US residents)
Network Leader LLC also conducts original research in the field of network science. Data provided by people who complete our assessments is valuable for research purposes. These data are stored securely in Network Leader LLC databases and may become a part of a research project. Network Leader LLC has a strong commitment to protecting the rights, and privacy of everyone who completes our assessments. To this end:
• All data utilized for research is obtained following the informed and/or explicit consent of the individual participant.
• Questions related to race/ethnicity are for U.S. research and reporting purposes. While U.S. law encourages the collection of racial demographic information, other legal jurisdictions outside of the United States may not permit these data, thus, questions about race/ethnicity are only asked for those whom reside in the United States.
• Assessment data collected about or from our application are shared with and explained to each person who completed the assessment.
• Information collected about or from an individual is considered confidential. Individuals receive feedback on assessments only directly from Network Leader or from a certified trainer. Any further disclosure or sharing shall be possible only pending the individual’s consent.
Data collected by Network Leader LLC are stored in a secure database. Responses to assessments become a part of a benchmarking group, containing thousands of scores, against which individual scores are calibrated. Periodically, Network Leader LLC publishes data on groups of people. Individuals are never identified in these reports. Specific organizations are identified only if prior written approval is received from the organization. Network Leader LLC also provides cohort and may provide organization summary profiles.
We do not sell personal information to anyone and only share it with third parties who are facilitating the delivery of our services.
From time to time, Network Leader LLC receives personal information about individuals from third parties. Typically, information collected from third parties will include further details on your employer or industry. We may also collect your personal data from a third party website (e.g. LinkedIn)
We use this information to provide prospects and customers with services.
In the extremely rare case of a court order, Network Leader LLC might be compelled to release data without an individual’s consent.
As is true of most other websites, Network Leader's LLC website collects certain information automatically and stores it in log files. The information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, the region or general location where your computer or device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system and other usage information about the use of Network Leader’s website, including a history of the pages you view. We use this information to help us design our site to better suit our users’ needs. We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website, analyze trends, track visitor movements, and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences.

We do not otherwise reveal your personal data to non-Network Leader LLC persons or businesses for their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) it’s in connection with Network Leader LLC -hosted and Network Leader LLC co-sponsored conferences as described above; (3) the information is provided to comply with the law (for example, compelled by law enforcement to comply with a search warrant, subpoena, or court order), enforce an agreement we have with you, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights, property or safety of our employees or others; (4) the information is provided to our agents, vendors or service providers who perform functions on our behalf; (5) to address emergencies or acts of God; or (6) to address disputes, claims, or to persons demonstrating legal authority to act on your behalf. We may also gather aggregated data about our services and website visitors and disclose the results of such aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information to our partners, service providers, advertisers, and/or other third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
The Network Leader LLC website connects with third party services such as Google, Facebook, and Linkedin. If you choose to share information from the Network Leader LLC website through these services, you should review the privacy policy of that service. If you are a member of a third party service, the aforementioned connections may allow that service to connect your visit to our site to your personal data.
Network Leader LLC has its headquarters in the United States. Information we collect about you will be processed in the United States. By using Network Leader’s LLC services, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed in the United States. The United States has not sought nor received a finding of “adequacy” from the European Union under Article 45 of the GDPR. Pursuant to Article 46 of the GDPR, Network Leader LLC is providing for appropriate safeguards by entering binding, standard data protection clauses, enforceable by data subjects in the EEA and the UK. These clauses have been enhanced based on the guidance of the European Data Protection Board and will be updated when the new draft model clauses are approved.
Depending on the circumstance, Network Leader LLC also collects and transfers to the U.S. personal data with consent; to perform a contract with you; or to fulfill a compelling legitimate interest of Network Leader LLC in a manner that does not outweigh your rights and freedoms. Network Leader LLC endeavors to apply suitable safeguards to protect the privacy and security of your personal data and to use it only consistent with your relationship with Network Leader LLC and the practices described in this Privacy Statement. Network Leader LLC also enters into data processing agreements and model clauses with its vendors whenever feasible and appropriate. Since it was founded, Network Leader has received zero government requests for information.

Your personal data is stored by Network Leader LLC on its servers, and on the servers of the cloud-based database management services the Network Leader LLC engages, located in the United States. Network Leader LLC retains service data for the duration of the customer’s business relationship with Network Leader LLC and for a period of time thereafter, to analyze the data for Network Leader’s LLC own operations, and for historical and archiving purposes associated with Network Leader’s LLC services. Network Leader LLC retains prospect data until such time as it no longer has business value and is purged from Network Leader LLC systems. All personal data that Network Leader LLC controls may be deleted upon verified request from Data Subjects or their authorized agents. If it is desired, participants may have their data removed from Network Leader LLC’s research database by sending an email to privacy@networkleader.com with this request. Once the data is removed, Network Leader LLC will not be able to provide a duplicate feedback report at a later date, overtime development comparisons, or use that data in any cohort or organizational profiles.
